Brought to the Lord

I am a twenty-five year old college student who dearly loves the Lord Jesus. During my youth, I was brought to the Lord by my parents and by the brothers and sisters in the church in Atlanta. I was saved in the third grade at a retreat. In the ninth grade I gave my life anew to the Lord. The Lord, the church, and the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee are very precious to me.

The Lord is the King and Ruler of the universe (Revelation 1:5; 19:16). He is also the One who I can touch day by day. As the One on the throne He is in everything. He is the sovereign God. He is arranging everything in the universe and in my life. This Lord Jesus is also for me to enjoy. He died on the cross and resurrected not only to take away my sin, but also to become the life giving Spirit to get into me (Romans 8:11). My Lord Jesus came down from heaven and went through a process to become a man, die on the cross, resurrect, become the life-giving Spirit, and ascend into the heavens. When I got saved this Triune God came into me. Now the Lord is bringing me into Him (John 17:20-21). The Lord Jesus is the reachable, wonderful and sovereign God.

Not only is the Lord Jesus precious, but the church is also very dear to me. I have grown up in the local church in Atlanta. The brothers and sisters are my life line much of the time. They led me to the Lord Jesus, and the meetings of the church always bring me back to touch the Lord. I am very happy to be in the local church in Atlanta. This makes me part of the universal church, one with all the believers in Christ.

The Lord and the church are precious, and the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee is very rich in the truth. If I did not have access to their ministry I would not know very much about the Lord. Their ministry has showed me that the Lord Jesus is small enough for me to touch. I can call “O Lord Jesus” and He is a drink to me (Psalm 116:12-13). He is my daily salvation and moment-by-moment supply.

I love the Lord and His church and the ministry. I thank the Lord for the privilege of growing up in the church in Atlanta and having the truth laid out for me from my childhood. Thank You, Lord, for cleansing my sins and coming to live in me. Keep me growing into You until You come.
